Therapist - School Based (Galena Park Middle School)

At Legacy Community Health, we are searching for an innovative and experienced Behavioral Health Therapist to join our committed team in transforming community healthcare. Located at Galena Park Middle School, this role offers a unique opportunity to provide pivotal mental health services directly within an educational setting. Our therapists are the vanguards of community wellness, offering indispensable support to students through individualized care.

As a Therapist at Legacy Community Health, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality psychotherapy services, crafting therapy that is as dynamic and diverse as our community. Leveraging your expertise, you'll conduct psychosocial assessments, as well as individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. With a forward-thinking approach, you'll collaborate extensively with non-physician providers to ensure comprehensive psychiatric treatment.

Your role will also emphasize thorough documentation of patient encounters and the flexibility to adapt treatment plans when necessary, demonstrating mastery in psychotherapeutic modalities, particularly concerning childhood disorders. This position is more than a job; it's a platform to influence positive change within the Galena Park community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality psychotherapy to patients with diverse behavioral health needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to inform individualized therapy plans.
  • Provide targeted individual, couples, and family therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with non-physician providers to offer integrated psychiatric treatment.
  • Maintain prompt and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans.
  • Re-evaluate and update patient treatment plans as needed, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency across all psychotherapeutic modalities, focusing on childhood disorders.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences from an accredited institution.
  • Current Texas License as LCSW, LPC, and/or LMFT.
  • Preferred bilingual capability, especially Spanish-speaking, to better serve our diverse community.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in psychotherapy.
